Hi,
Is the only reason for not having this checked if you are operating outside of the coverage of EGNOS/WASS ?

Well, yeah.
After I implemented this I noticed most other system enable this by default. I wonder why the GPS unit also doesn't enable this by default. I see not downsides.

I'm not sure what the behavior is if you are outside an area with coverage, would it just ignore it if so then agreed it would be better on by default.
